Artist’s Rationale
Mark Cuthbertsons artwork is a playful commentary on society,  turning the monotonous into something far more interesting and challenging. Mark creates art that deconstructs an idea to its simplest elements and rebuilds it into something that tugs & pushes our preconceptions. He creates using simplistic and common aspects of the everyday and manipulates them into work that is unexpected, evocative and surprising.  Mark experiments with a variety of constructed forms & large scale air controlled environments, exploring new mediums and ways of pushing the boundaries of his practice.
